Artist’s statement
This exhibition investigates the forces of form coming to being. These, sometimes inconceivable forces/forms conceptually connect the emotional relationship between the person/viewer and the energy that causes changes within space. My choice of abstraction was a deliberate one for it provided the appropriate iconography essential for visually expressing the concept of transforming the abstract idea into a physical reality. Energy/movement stripped of the restrictions of clearly identifiable forms and shapes becomes the subject/object encouraging exploration and providing each viewer with multiple interpretations of the images. This series aims to present a visual sensation of energy and movement whereby the content and inherent characteristics of the materials used, become united to seek connection with the movement of energy within the viewer.
